When they’re gone that long You know, you just don’t know for sure
What a cruel end That’ll never let us finally mourn
And you wake up from a dream You can’t remember what it was
Must be somewhere Where the body don’t float up
It’s too morbid to speak out loud Too awful not to believe
The world that we wake up in is the one we created in our sleep
We dream the world at night Do we dream the world in day I think we must
There is no comfort A ticking clock, a cinder block wall
A cold styrofoam cup of coffee The news impossibly tall
It waits outside the door But never opens it at all
You turn on the TV And it’s constant blood and guts
Sometimes you end up somewhere Where the bodies don’t float up
It can’t get out that way It’s bound to stick around and weigh you down
It’ll always feel the same It never goes away until you say that last word
Car goes down and it just sits there and rusts
It must be somewhere where the body don’t float, body don't float up
